It's never easy I guess, for anything. Yet if we seek to advance, to grow than we must get used to many first time in our life.
Indonesia today: not that many events though, the biggest issue is still about the government position in regard of Iranian nuke issue. Not a good move actually. The government seems to ignore the fact that the majority the people here is sided with the Iranian. Although based on the issue it seem the SC Resolution is quite mild. No matter though, I believe the government seems to pick a fight on wrong issue, and it has nothing to do with the problem we have at hand.
A quick reminder of several issue that we must settle in this country are (ordered by my priority):
1. Munir murder and the lost activist,
2. Corruption and Law Enforcement
3. Agricultural Reform
4. Education Reform
5. Bank Intermediary function
The list may be short but I believe if the government can settle some of this issue they open the path to get reelected on 2009.
Another issue to concern is about the Governor of Jakarta election. I'm not going to vote in the election, and really between the two candidate Fauzi Bowo and Adang Daradjatun I'm still expecting to see more candidate to run. We still have Sarwono and Faisal Basri though their chance to get nominated is pretty slim - we can hope.
